About Us
Our goal is to help people with disabilities—both athletes and would-be athletes—remove barriers to entry into athletics. Finding the time and the motivation, gaining the knowledge and having the dedication to pursue a sport are barriers all athletes face. In addition, athletes with disabilities face logistical challenges related to their disabilities. These may include the need for on-course mechanical support for hand-cyclists and wheelchair racers, and sighted guides or tandem bike partners for athletes who are visually impaired or blind.
Currently, our focus is on distance running/walking/rolling and participating in local races, anything from 5K's to 26.2 miles. Check out our "News and Events" and "Workouts" tabs to find out more about the time and location of our current group workouts! Also, read about our amazing athletes in the "blog."
So what’s your sport? What would you like your sport to be? What’s standing in your way?
